Dream Home Minimum Requirements: Got a sled? Winter is coming. My heartworm treatment is finished & I'm ready to roll! Pulling a sled would be a great job for me. That's what Siberian Huskies do. We pull. I love to go, go, go. Speaking of going, you should ask my transporter what I did. It's not MY fault. That window was open just enough. I'm not an obedient Golden Retriever. I'm a Siberian Husky! That's what we do. We go! And speaking of Siberian Huskies, you should hear my beautiful voice. I'm a beautiful lady, too, huh? But I have a wonderful husky singing voice. I throw my head back and open my mouth to deliver beautiful song. I've got an idea. Christmas in December. Beautiful Siberian fur, sled pulling, music. Sounds like a great holiday combination to me! How about you? My foster parents say I am quite an affectionate lady with people. I love being petted & prefer to be in whatever room is also occupied by my people. I am super sweet. You can grab my ears, feet, tail all you want & I'm still smiling! There isn't an aloof bone in my body. I love to follow my foster parents around everywhere & I crave attention. That said, I am not needy and will quickly just lie down or play with a toy if you stop petting me. Not a fan of vacuum cleaners, I look to my humans for clues when I am unsure of those monster machines. I get over it pretty quickly. I heard a lot of people aren't fans of vacuum cleaners or is that they aren't fans of cleaning? :) I am generally very well-behaved, but, as with most Siberians, get a little destructive when bored. I also LOVE to rip apart my toys, even when I'm not bored. One day I decided it was time for some new ones. So I took a half dozen of them out of their box one by one and shredded them. I will also occasionally chew on my bedding (and my foster parents' bedding as well!). I love running, but I don't have the stamina for more than about a mile or so. I'm pretty good on a leash. Although I usually start off pulling a bit, I settle down after some minor corrections and then do really well. My foster dad has even taken me along while bike riding. Once I find my stride, I'm good to go. In nice weather, I am content to sit in a (fenced) yard area chasing squirrels. I don't really dig digging & haven't tried to escape. I do, however, sometimes make a break for the front door. Ask my foster dad about the game of Catch Me If You Can I got him to play with me once. :) Siberians can be challenging. If you're interested in me, you must make sure you have researched just what a Siberian Husky is. I've lost at least THREE homes already. The next one must be my last one. Just as you would with children, you must be willing to work through whatever issues come up. If you're not ready for that, please don't apply to adopt. If you are ready, though, that's fantastic!
Movies: 1. I'm enjoying giving love and kisses in Left and Right
2. Cats? Ho-Hum
3. A Litte Case of The Zoomies
4. I quietly in lady-like fashion listen to the others participate in a Sing-Along.
Named for a 9/11 Victim: I am named for Alexander Milan Filipov.
History: My first owner used me for breeding. Second owner "couldn't care for anymore." The second owner threw me away by putting me in a Maryland animal shelter. I was adopted for a short time & returned. Three homes. Enough already.
