Dream Home Minimum Requirements: |
My dream home will be folks who understand me. Not every home is one I can fit into with ease. I came from a circumstance where the dogs were working dogs, left on short chains, and had very little human interaction. When I was taken away from that situation, I traveled with my luggage. Inside that luggage lies my anxieties. I am a comical, sweet, and gentle boy, but noises and people scare me. In a short time in foster care, I am tons better, but I am not like an "in your face" dog. My family must continue to work with me. What does that mean for my home? It means a quiet home is in order. A very secure fenced yard (6' fence, secure at the bottom) where I can run or someone who is an avid runner and who can keep me securely on my leash would be what I need. I was a working dog, after all, and need that exercise/energy outlet. Folks who have the patience and gentleness to work with me are what I need. Folks who understand that you have to lift me up into a car and I run from things that scare me are what I need. I will let you in on a little secret. Toys, toys, and toys. I love them all. So feel free to use as many of them as you would like while working with me. For your pocketbook's sake, they shoudl be inexpensive since I don't keep them around long. Another thing I need is a dog because I like to play 20/7. After all, even a good-looking guy like me needs my beauty sleep. A stubborn human is good, too, one who is more stubborn than I am & won't give in to my humorous ways. One last thing - my human must enjoy laughter. I will tell you to hurry up with my food by woo-wooing while you are filling my bowl. Though I won't come in the kitchen, I will do my husky speak from a nearby room the whole time you are filling my bowl! They say I'm demanding. Whatever that means, I hope it fills my bowl. |
