| Description: |   ADOPTED! When Bud went to his new home, one of his little boys made his new dog a welcome poster. Click to see the fantastic artwork of Chase Haegele. No dog is perfect, but I come close! Pet Harbor is quite puzzled why when I landed in a Virginia shelter my owners didn’t claim me. My house manners are impeccable. I can’t say the same thing for the other dogs in my foster home. Two of us simultaneously got squeaky toys a while back. She shredded hers. I played with mine all night! Aren’t I great? Well, Pet Harbor did find out I am a fiend for balls!!! My birthday is approximately September 5, 2003, and I weigh 49 pounds. I love other dogs, and I love to play with them. However, if a human walks into the room, I own the human. When there’s a human near, other dogs are invisible to me. I do have an issue. I’m very gentle. I would never bite. Why, you could even take food right out of my mouth without a problem. However, when I first meet you, I have this sound which is my way of communicating, but it sounds like a growl & people get scared. I don’t have a scary bone in my body, but people get scared anyway. So you have to understand that kind of dog talk to adopt me. After I get to know you & feel comfortable, I stop growling. After all, doesn’t everybody have at least one issue? I can't live with kitties, but I love children. I had a home with 3 children & their parents for a few months, but there was an illness in the family & they couldn't care for me any longer. So I need a home where I can be loved forever. How about yours? I was named for a hero. See Bud. |
