Description: ADOPTED! Do you know how to spell mischief? Look at that word. You could say it Miss Chief. And how you spell it is T-R-U-D-I. I'm so full of mischief. But you have to love me because I'm just so cute. An adorable devil is exactly what I am. Besides, if I think you're mad at me, because I know I'm guilty of whatever caused your anger, I will kiss you and kiss you and kiss you until you get over it. You'll have no choice. I'll have you laughing. You'll forget whatever I did. Maybe I chewed up your seat belt. Oh, well. You can get another one. Maybe I dug up your flower garden. Hey, isn't that what dirt is for? Maybe I played tug-of-war with your t-shirt. It tasted yummy. What can I say? You may lose a few things, but what's important is you will have lots and lots of love and personality if you adopt me. (My sisters Anaya and Chela are exactly the same.) I get along just great with children, cats, and dogs. Hey, it's more to love! You could take me to school. That way I could learn things, and I'd get to kiss even more people. Weighing in at 35 pounds, I'm black & white & bieyed (meaning I have one brown eye, one parti-eye, which is both blue & brown). My name means something special. To see what it means, go to Trudi. Oh, yeah. There's that little thing called my history. Would you like to know about it? Be prepared for a sad story. A year ago, a woman in Georgia was arrested on charges of animal cruelty. This was the third time having cruelty accusations brought against her, but the other two counties in Georgia let her go, telling her not to own dogs in their county any more. So she moved. Bartow County was where she based her Siberian Husky puppy mill and was where her luck ran out. When animal control officers answered a complaint from the next-door neighbor about dogs being neglected, they were shocked to find: animals tied out with no shade; food just thrown on the ground...some dogs could reach it, some couldn't; scummy water, what there was of it...many dogs had no access to the rancid stuff; no fencing to keep marauding animals away; bitches with litters confined to loose boxes in a shed, with puppies wandering around; animals with gaping, maggot-infested wounds; bodies of dead animals either still on their chain or just tossed into bushes; no one living in the burned-out house on the property. Charges were brought, but the "owner" was given the chance to clean up her act. She did not comply and was again arrested and charged with cruelty. She decided to have a jury trial, and while the wheels of justice were turning slowly, the dogs were taking up precious space at the local shelter. Finally, a year later, the "owner" was convicted of cruelty charges and sent to jail for 6 months with two years probation to serve after she gets out. Among the dogs was our mother, who was pregnant with my sisters and me at the time. Thanks to some terrific angels, we are no longer impounded because of a cruel person. Now we just need terrific homes. Thank you for listening to our story.
