Description: ADOPTION PENDING! A litter of eight puppies was abandoned alongside a rural Virginia road. Five of us have found wonderful homes. Three of us are left awaiting homes. Our approximate birthday is January 26, 2002. We're the cutest little balls of fluff you ever did see and did nothing so wrong as to be abandoned. A highway department employee found us and took us to a shelter. Unfortunately, this time of year, shelters are overloaded with spring babies. So our chances of survival were slim. We can only hope they'll put the people behind bars who abandoned us. At least we know none of us will grow up and have unwanted babies. Please get your pets spayed and neutered and prevent litters upon litters being abandoned in shelters and facing no other choice but death. We are safe now. We are in a rescue and out of the shelter. Also, if you want to adopt one of us, you have to make sure you are ready not only for a puppy but for a dog who may be very big! Early obedience training is an absolute requirement. Pet Harbor isn't real sure what we are, but the consensus seems to be Great Pyrenees-Collie or Australian Shepherd mix. However, no one really knows with a mixed-breed puppy until it grows . . . and grows . . . and grows. We are expected to be 60-80 pounds, but one never knows. If weight is important, you should look at purebred pups or mixed-breed adults, not mixed-breed pups. Named for a hero. See Carrington.
